I got a call from Mike, a Cobra acquaintance, who had met Todd
another Cobra owner on the road and they were going to get together for
a beer at Famous Eddy's on the south hill, would I like to join them in a
couple hours? Sure. I gave Ed a call and he said he would stop by as
well. As each of us arrived, adjoining parking spaces opened up in front
of the restaurant. (which was all windows, and where we were sitting)
After just a
half hour a (real) Shelby Cobra 350 pull up and parks between Ed's and
Mike's car and just a few minuets later ANOTHER Cobra roadster cruses
the parking lot stops, backs up and pulls in a recently vacated spot next to Todd's car!
Out popped Ken, who had just finished his roadster and said 'I shouldn't be
driving it, the paints still wet' but could not help but take it out on
this great summer evening and just happened upon 5 Cobra's in a row. We
gave him the high sign as he entered the restaurant and he asked if this
was a "club meeting or something?"
Nope! It just happened. Six in a row. Amazing!
